Women are an integral and ever-growing part of the AI world. However, according to a 2018 study from Wired and Element AI, just 12% of AI researchers globally are women. As Global AI Hub we believe that diversity and inclusivity matter. 

We have curated a list of 50 leading women who are shaping the future of artificial intelligence to celebrate women’s place in the AI field. We walk together with thought leaders in our journey to provide free education to 10 million people, at least 5 million of whom are women.

Alka Pandey is a Data Scientist Manager for AI Platform at Unilever with 8 years of experience in Data Analytics, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Alka has expertise on Supervised and Unsupervised Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing and Deep Learning. She is also a visiting faculty for Data Science and Machine Learning at Great Lakes and PES University for their flagship data science programs.

Christina Stathopoulos is an active Data Voice within the community, participating regularly as an international public speaker and educator in the field. She has developed an advanced data career in tech, most recently at Google & Waze preceded by time spent at Nielsen & SAS Institute. She holds an Adjunct Faculty position at IE Business School & ISDI, and is passionate about all things data, emerging technologies and promoting women in STEM.

Shweta is a Senior Applied Scientist currently working at Jupiter Money, Bangalore, India. She has over 6 years of experience in building AI based applications and systems. Her experience spans across building Conversational AI products, range of NLP applications, Search, Information Retrieval and graph based recommendations. She’s also a Google Developer Expert in Machine learning and is passionate about contributing to the ML community.

Tolani is a seasoned Intelligent Automation Consultant who has built 30+ production bots that has leveraged technologies such as RPA, OCR, IDP and Low-code/No-code (LCNC). She has saved several financial services over €2.5 million in the last 7 years. Her success with large financial organisations has led to her founding the RPA Jargon Buster to help SMEs and Mid-Markets financial services and healthcare digitally transform through Intelligent Automation.
